One fine day, I decided that I wanted to buy a cross stitch. An online search yielded few desirable results. Much of what I saw was wildly expensive and poorly done, so I decided to make my own. Well, one thing led to another and I found myself stitching all kinds of sayings and putting them on Etsy. But because I have a marketers brain, I couldn’t possibly continue without a neat little brand to put it all under.

That’s how Crossfaded Crossstitch was born: an exercise in craft, art direction, branding, and social publishing. Plus it’s a nice hobby to help me get my eyes off of a computer screen, and onto tiny little holes in my dimly lit apartment.

“I create cross stitches and other various designs as a commentary on pop culture. My brand, Cross Faded Cross Stitch juxtaposes trending phrases with the more traditional, (often times seen as old-fashioned) art form of cross-stitching.”
